How to prepare good espresso coffee

What does the word coffee actually mean?

Coffee grains, coffee tree, coffee drink etc. Well, the path to the aromatic drink has many steps, all of which influence the final result.

How to prepare a good cup of coffee?

Coffee mixture of high quality

The first pre-condition is a good coffee blend, which Franck Espresso certainly is. It contains various types of coffee from high areas of South America and Asia, which together create a harmony of aroma and flavor. Franck’s roasting plant is a computer-monitored closed system, which guarantees permanent high quality products. Franck Espresso Coffee is roasted in a slightly more vigorous way and therefore better adapted to the espresso way of making coffee. Good coffee will leave a pleasant aftertaste in your mouth. Coffee must be ground properly. The blend of coffees and the level of roasting define the necessary level of grinding, therefore, it is very important to set the coffee grinder properly. When coffee is ground, it is ready for cooking.

Espresso machine

Like all other functioning machines, the Espresso machine may no longer be completely accurate after some time. Oscillations can be so great they can cause the aroma and quality of coffee to decrease significantly, or even all together, during the preparation process. An espresso machine should function as accurately as possible. Regular maintenance and cleaning of the machine, and a high-quality coffee mixture subsequently reflect in the end user’s satisfaction.

Coffee grinder

Besides the espresso machine, the coffee grinder is of key importance when preparing good espresso coffee. The level of grinding has an impact on the final quality of coffee grains and espresso coffee blends. If grinding is not delicate enough, espresso coffee will not fulfill its potential and the result is diluted coffee. However, if the grinding is too delicate, the coffee quality will stay in the coffee machine, while small grains will jam the riddle of the handle, slowing the flow of water through the machine handle.

Another key factor in maintaining coffee blend quality is the grain elevator and dose measurer of the coffee grinder. Both elevator and dose measurer must be closed at all times so as to prevent coffee evaporation and exposure of coffee grains to atmospheric humidity.

The third important element is the standard of ground espresso coffee for the preparation of the drink. The normal standard is between 6 and 8 grams, whereas Franck recommends 7 grams.

Human factor

It is also very important how coffee is made. It should be prepared with love and a feeling for making coffee. Quick and decisive moves over the dose measurer guarantee constant quantity of ground coffee in the handle. The handle should be correctly squeezed in order to enable a uniform water flow through the coffee.
